The Woman Behind
The Counter & The Pen

My name is Afreen — The Daughter of Abdul Khadeer, a Licensed Healthcare Professional, a Pharmacist, and an Assistant Professor.

I have spent years standing behind pharmacy counters, watching people come in with prescriptions they are almost ashamed to hold. I have watched the hesitation. The whispers. The "please don't tell anyone."

That silence broke something in me. And built something too.

I began writing because I realized that my position — between patient and physician, between clinical knowledge and human compassion — gave me a perspective the world needed to hear.

My writing covers Depression and Hypertension — not because they are trending topics, but because they walk into my pharmacy every single day wearing the face of someone who just needs to be seen.

I write in three languages — Hinglish, Hindi, and English — because healing does not have one tongue. And neither does truth.
